2026 Scholarship Programs

We're pleased to announce that the 2026 Valley Contractors Exchange scholarship program is open to applicants!

We have three scholarships available in 2026 providing opportunities for high school and college students.  All applications are due 4/17/26 at 5 PM. 

College Scholarship

The Valley Contractors Exchange is pleased to invite those pursuing careers in the construction industry to apply for our 2026 college scholarship. The program is open to students pursuing a degree in a field related to the construction industry who are currently enrolled in a university, college or trade school.  Applicants must meet the following criteria by the end of the spring 2026 semester: Have a minimum GPA of 3.0 with 48 cumulative units completed (with at least 12 of those units in your chosen field), and be enrolled in Fall 2026 classes.

High School Scholarship

The Valley Contractors Exchange is pleased to invite high school students who are relatives of VCE member companies and who are pursuing careers in the construction industry to apply for our 2026 high school scholarship. The program is open to graduating seniors whose parent/guardian is an owner or employee of a VCE member firm in good standing. A written recommendation from the owner or a keyemployee must be submitted with the application. Applicants must meet the following criteria by the end of the spring 2026 semester: Be a high school senior entering a university, college, community college or trade school within 1 academic year of graduation, and have a minimum GPA of 3.00 during the last three years of high school, be a direct relative of, or an employee of a current VCE member firm

Lamon Memorial Scholarship

The Valley Contractors Exchange is pleased to recognize one of our founding companies, and its historical service to its community, by inviting students from its area to apply for the 2026 Lamon Memorial Scholarship award of $1,000. The award is open to students who meet the following criteria by the end of the spring 2026 semester: Be a college junior or above pursuing a constructionrelated career, be a resident of Yuba or Sutter County, provide documentation of involvement in extra-curricular activities benefitting the community, have a minimum GPA of 3.0 with 48 cumulative units completed and at least 12 of those in a chosen construction-related field, and be enrolled in Fall 2026 classes
